How to make a Referral to the Befriending Service

We accept referrals for the services from individuals, health professionals, family, or other support workers.

We welcome referrals for people aged 18+ who have become isolated or who are experiencing difficulties due to their mental health problems and would benefit from this level of social support. Referrals for the Befriending Service must be for people living in St.Helens Borough.

We cannot accept referrals for individuals who pose a threat or danger to others, and are actively using illicit substances and abusing alcohol. We also cannot accept referrals from people who need more specific intervention than St.Helens Mind and our volunteers can offer.

You can contact us by email, telephone us on 01744 677058 or write to us at St.Helens Mind, Thatto Heath Road, St.Helens, Merseyside. WA9 5PG
